Benefits of Natural Gas

Through our service, we make it possible for resource companies to access one of the cleanest sources of energy in the world, natural gas, direct from Australia's North West.

Natural gas is an abundant and, thanks to GGT, readily available energy source, with large reserves in place. In fact, Western Australia holds more than two thirds of Australia's natural gas reserves.

Natural Gas emits less carbon dioxide per unit of energy than any other fossil fuel. According to Australian Gas Association September 2001 figures natural gas emits less than half of the carbon dioxide of Brown Coal.

It's also a domestic product, which means resource companies based in Western Australia that use natural gas as an energy source to lessen their exposure to volatile international fuel markets, or fluctuations in the energy price of other sources of fuel produced in Australia.

Australia has a growing demand for energy, but one that must be tempered with respect for the environment. Natural gas is a major energy source and can easily meet that growing need, without adverse environmental impacts.
